All books are properly placed as per their code and classification. It will be easy for all readers to locate the books. The work is quite appreciable 14-03-2025.

Future Targets

  • The library will shortly implement RFID Technology which will begin with pasting the whole collection with RFID tags, a chip based technology, which plugs the book theft by mischievous users and detects the unauthorized borrowing of books by a Sensor Gate called RFID Gate. It also decodes the bibliographical details of book(s) stored into a chip and patron details on a smart card and displays them on a screen called as self-check-in/check-out machine, thereby enabling the patrons to issue and return the books in a seamless environment. This technology is called as RFID Technology.
  • We are also seriously up for Remote Access Facility (RAF) to our students and teachers for maximizing our collection base remotely.
  • The library will shortly extend its OPAC facility to wide users at their desktops irrespective of their geographical positioning through WEBOPAC.
  • Though part of library shelving is wooden, however the remaining steel wracks and lockers will soon be replaced by wooden shelves for space saving and further beautification of the library.
